One more thing to be grateful for: We are analog not digital

Life is an analog signal. Not a digital signal.

Digital signals rise and fall suddenly and abruptly, from 0 to 5 to -25 to 10 to 50 to ...

Analog signals are more smooth, from 0 to 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 to 5, then gradually reduce to -25. You get the idea right.

Why be grateful for it?

Imagine if life was a digital signal. You start from 0, then on one day because of your hard work you go to 5 overnight. Then on another day, because of your habits your signal suddenly implodes to -25.

You will be honestly terribly fcking devastated by then.

Because we have analog signals, everyday we can progress a little bit, and that little bit is seen however small it is. Considering the other side, i.e. going down, you will go down slowly, gradually not overnight.

This is another proof that overnight success is a lie. 5 or 10 years of gradual progress sums to success which people falsely consider as overnight success.

Overnight failure follows the same pattern.

Be grateful that you get real-time feedback in life.
